For this month's Baking With Spirit I asked you to bake something using a DIY (home made) liqueur. I was really excited to see what everyone came up with, and if any exciting liqueur flavours were invented. I was in luck!
Let's take a look at the entries, shall we?
First off we got a savoury entry from BWS newbie, Jane at Fromage Homage. Welcome, Jane! She made this Innes Log Goat's Cheese with Plum and Sloe Gin Sauce. I am currently very hungry and the thought of this dish is not helping! It sounds really tasty, and I bet the flavours work really well together.
Next, I celebrated two years of blogging with this Totally Bananas Banana Cake. I made some Banana Liqueur to flavour the icing, and despite some sugar mishaps it all went together very well.
Craig at The Usual Saucepans had the genius idea of making Chilli & Mango Rum. With this genius concoction he made some Mango & Chilli Rum Mini Loaflettes. Not only is 'loaflette' still a brilliant name for mini loaf cakes, but these look particularly mouthwateringly good. Perfect for a rainy day!
Thanks to Jane and Craig for their delicious looking entries - there's a boozy meal laid out for me right there.
Don't forget to check the website on Friday to find out what the challenge is for November. I'll give you a clue: it will definitely help to warm your insides. Support the challenge by inviting your blogging friends along too if you can!
